MAHABHAVA DHAMA

Incredible Vrindavan

The altar of the spiritual world on Earth

Since 2020, in Yevpatoria, Crimea, on a 2-hectare site, followers of the Hare Krishna Movement have been manifesting sacred places described in the great Vedic scriptures, which are over 5,000 years old, as part of a private project.

Over 40 locations of the spiritual world
Drawing from authoritative Vedic scriptures, the writings of great saints in the lineage of discipleship spanning many centuries, and studying maps of the ancient sacred cities of the Vraja-mandala, we have designed the altar of the primary places of the spiritual world of Vrindavan.

Sacred Abode
Below, we briefly describe the main concepts embedded in the Mahabhava Dhama project — the altar of the spiritual world on Earth in Crimea — and explain how it is connected to the eternal transcendental planet of Krishna and Srimati Radharani (Hare).
Mahabhava
Mahabhava is the highest manifestation of spiritual love for the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krishna. The embodiment and source of this love is Srimati Radharani, Krishna's beloved and His closest energy, Love itself. Srimati Radharani embodies the highest love for Krishna and is the supreme object of His love. Mahabhava is the love of Srimati Radharani. "Dhama" signifies the sacred abode of Krishna and Srimati Radharani, Vrindavan. It is the heart of God, where Love reigns.
Vrindavan in the Spiritual World
In the spiritual world of Vrindavan, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krishna, resides in a flourishing, eternally fresh realm, delighting in endless loving relationships with His friends, parents, girlfriends, cows, peacocks, parrots, and other residents of Vrindavan. According to the sacred scriptures, we, as souls, are all eternal residents of Vrindavan, particles of God. We are not "faceless clouds" but possess the most beautiful, spiritual, eternal bodies, woven from the soul's love for God.
Vrindavan in India
Over 5000 years ago, Lord Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, descended from the spiritual world into this world, along with His entourage and place of residence, to the small town of Vrindavan, India. The glory of Vrindavan was spread by Srila Prabhupada, the founding acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). Since then, Vrindavan has been a place of pilgrimage for millions of people from around the world, following the path of devotion to God.
Vrindavan in Crimea
Mahabhava Dhama is the altar, the Deity of sacred Vrindavan, which we can see in India and which is also eternally manifested on the highest spiritual planet of Goloka Vrindavan, extensively described in the sacred scriptures. By entering Mahabhava Dhama, we step onto the spiritual altar of God's abode. Therefore, we need to be sensitive, careful, and humble to feel the atmosphere that prevails in this place — the atmosphere of love.

Authentically
For over 50 years, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founding acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), and his followers have been disseminating transcendental spiritual knowledge, establishing temples, and recreating sacred places, manifesting Vrindavan worldwide.
MAHABHAVA DHAMA
Why are we doing this?
Mahabhava Dhama manifests for both truth seekers and mature followers of the Gaudiya Vaishnav tradition, as well as for those who aspire to do something valuable for God.
To experience the world as described in the scriptures
We strive to recreate the atmosphere of the spiritual world, enabling people to touch the sacred places and receive profound spiritual benefit for their souls. Even a simple walk along these amazing paths will bring tranquility and leave a spiritual imprint.
To serve the Supreme Personality of God
The inner motivation of the team serving in Mahabhava Dhama may be the desire, with love and devotion, to create something that is very dear to the Supreme Personality of God, Krishna, and His beloved Srimati Radharani.
To experience genuine spiritual emotions
Mahabhava Dhama is meant to deeply move a sincere Vaishnava to tears and inspire them to immerse themselves in the waters of the deep ocean of the confidential transcendental life of Srimati Radharani and Krishna in the spiritual world of Vrindavan.
A place of longing for the eternal home
For advanced Vaishnavas following spiritual teachers and acharyas, Mahabhava Dham is a place of the most intense separation one can experience, being amidst the eternal pastimes of Srimati Radharani and Krishna.

Govardhan
Sacred Hill. 108 meters in length. Scale 1:100 to Govardhan in India.
108 m in length, 24 m in width, 10.8 m in height
It took 1008 trucks of soil.
It took a month of work for the loader to create the form.
It took 4 months: spring-summer 2021.
Oh Govardhan, your name is filled with deep meaning. You provide luxurious meadows with crystal-clear water and an abundance of grass, and your majestic trees give dense shade. In this way, you care for the cows, and this is how you have become famous in all three worlds. Please allow me to live near you.
Raghunatha Dasa Goswami,
Govardhana-vāsa Prārthanā-daśakam, verse 6
Of all the devotees, this Govardhana Hill is the best! O my friends, this hill supplies Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma, along with Their calves, cows and cowherd friends, with all kinds of necessities — water for drinking, very soft grass, caves, fruits, flowers and vegetables. In this way the hill offers respects to the Lord. Being touched by the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma, Govardhana Hill appears very jubilant.
Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, Canto 10, chapter 21, text 18
Satellites recorded the beginning of Govardhana's manifestation in the summer of 2021, and later, the Yamuna River and sacred lakes. Browse the gallery of images to see the changes in the Mahabhava Dhama area.
When will I wander around the slopes of Govardhana Hill, constantly exclaiming like a madman, "O Radha! O Krishna!"? Trembling all over, filled with ecstatic love, I will drench the places of Sri Sri Radha Krishna's pastimes with my tears.
Raghunatha Dasa Goswami,
Vraja-vilāsa-stava, verse 103
The largest loader in the region, like a sculptor, begins assembling the first delivered portions of soil, layer by layer manifesting the sacred Govardhana Hill.
O Govardhana, Sri Radhika has named you with the nectarean title of Krishna's incomparable servant. You are the king of mountains, and the Vedas praise you as the new tilaka, adorning the land of Vraja. Please allow me to live near you!
Raghunatha Dasa Goswami,
Govardhana-vāsa Prārthanā-daśakam, verse 8
The eternal transcendental Govardhana is manifested in deity form in Mahabhava Dhama.
Wouldn't a serious devotee desire to take shelter at Govardhana Hill, whose glory is extolled by the greatest of ancient sages? The hill is surrounded by magnificent lakes, such as Sri Dana-nirvartana-kunda, which bestow love for Sri Radha and Krishna, a taste for spiritual life, and other blessings. These lakes are more famous than the sacred Ganga. They are pathways for Lord Krishna, Balarama, Brahma, Shiva, and the celestial residents.
Raghunatha Dasa Goswami,
Govardhana-vāsa Prārthanā-daśakam, verse 3

Who would not take refuge in Govardhana, the wish-fulfilling king of mountains? To protect the inhabitants of Vrindavan, Krishna worshipped Govardhana as the greatest of mountains, surpassing in reverence other mountains, the daughter of the sun, the Yamuna River, the forests of Vrindavan, and even the abode of Nandagram.

Govardhana-vāsa Prārthanā-daśakam, verse 9

The Twelve Forests of Vrindavan
Fruit and flower groves, each twelve meters long, on every side of Mahabhava Dham. On the spiritual planet of Goloka Vrindavan, there shine twelve transcendental forests, which are eternal and spiritual places of the pastimes of Lord Krishna and His intimate associates.
10,800 plants have been planted
500 kg of green manure sown
The manifestation began in 2021
I pray that this beautiful Vrindavan forest, manifested in the midst of the boundless ocean of spiritual bliss and love, may one day appear before me. I pray that my mind may be able to hold all the nectar of beholding the Supreme radiant young couple, both bright and dark, as they delight in their spiritual pastimes in the forest groves.
Prabodhananda Sarasvati Thakur,
Vrindavana-Mahimamrita,
Second Shataka, Text 49
It all started with an empty field [180m x 108m], where we began planting the Vrindavan forests.
With their hands as delicate as flower petals, Sri Sri Radha-Krishna tenderly water the trees and vines that have just begun to sprout. They nurture them so that, at the right time, each vine can be united with a suitable tree. When They notice the first buds beginning to bloom, They are filled with joy and exchange playful banter with each other. Let me fall to the ground and offer my respectful obeisances to these trees and vines of the Vrindavan forest.
Prabodhananda Sarasvati Thakur,
Vrindavana-Mahimamrita,
Second Shataka, Text 11
Without much support or experience, we invited plants to serve around the altar of the spiritual world.
Again and again, I glorify the twelve beloved forests of Krishna, which abound with mountains, rivers, wide lakes, and wish-fulfilling vines and trees. They are adorned with flowers constantly attacked by armies of bees, intoxicated by their aromas.
Raghunath Das Goswami,
Vraja Vilasa Stava, Verse 98
Over time, the planting was organized with thousands of saplings.

Sacred lakes and rivers
Throughout the area of Mahabhava Dhama, 16 reservoirs have already been excavated. The lakes and rivers in the spiritual world of Vrindavan are the sites of the divine pastimes of Lord Krishna and Shrimati Radharani.
I always pay my respects to all the rivers and lakes of Vraja, on whose banks Krishna blissfully herds the cows, lovingly splashing them with water. In their summer waters, He seeks victory in playful games with His beautiful friends, who also thirst to triumph over Him.

Yamuna
The sacred river Yamuna plays a central role in the divine pastimes of Krishna and Shrimati Radharani (Hare), providing a setting for their numerous adventures.
May my happiness increase Yamuna, the daughter of the sun. She blissfully smiles at Radha and Krishna, splashing them gently with her wave-like hands. When Radha and Krishna delight in her waters filled with loving pastimes, her waters acquire the color and fragrance of musk and vermilion washed from Their bodies!
Raghunath Das Goswami,
Vraja Vilasa Stava, Verse 35
"To whom shall I speak, and who will believe me, that the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krishna, lies in wait for the gopis in the groves on the banks of the Yamuna?"
Shri Chaitanya Charitamrita,
Madhya-lila, Chapter 19, Verse 98

Radha-Kunda
Radha-Kunda and Shyama-Kunda. The most sacred place in all material and spiritual worlds.
The enchanting forests of Vrindavan, the beautiful hill of Govardhan, and the nectarous grove of the dance of love, Rasa, not to mention other places, cannot compare even with a tiny drop of Radha-Kunda. I have taken refuge at this lake, which is dearer to Krishna than His own life.
Raghunath Das Goswami,
Vraja Vilasa Stava, Verse 53
Of all the gopis, Krishna loves Shrimati Radharani the most, and Her kunda (lake) is as dear to Him as Radharani Herself. Who would refuse to settle at Radha-kunda and, in a spiritual body filled with ecstatic emotions, lovingly serve the Divine Couple, Shri Shri Radha-Govinda, who daily perform Their asta-kaliya-lila? Those who engage in devotional service on the banks of Radha-kunda are truly the most fortunate people in the universe.

A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder-Acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), "Nectar of Instruction," Text 10
